Design and project for storage silos jack

Scope of work:

  • development of jack project design
  • numerical analyses using FE method
  • buckling analyses
  • static strength analyses
  • low cycle fatigue calculation

Results:

  • final documentation for the new project – jack for storage silos.
FE method analyses

With help of Finite Element Method (FEM) it was possible to realize within a short time series of structural analyses. With obtained result it was possible to perform design optimization – i.e. mass reduction, assembly improvements, operation usefulness improvement and extension of predicted time life of the device. For analyses purposes in-house develop tools for life time assessment was used (low cycle fatigue).
